Jason Vinar founded Kenora Advisors to bring institutional-grade expertise in mortgage servicing rights to clients who need an independent voice — not a platform with conflicting interests.

Jason spent over two decades at the center of the MSR market. At Pine River Capital Management, he built and scaled the firm's MSR portfolio into a top-10 GSE servicer, reaching $230 billion in unpaid principal balance and over $3 billion in market value. He structured MSR financing with six counterparties, managed bulk and flow acquisitions from 40+ sellers, and led a 35-person oversight team across a champion/challenger subservicing model. He later joined Two Harbors Investment Corp. as Managing Director and then Chief Operating Officer, where he led the $25 million earnings-accretive acquisition of RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing — overseeing everything from the board-level pitch through GSE negotiations and integration of a 500-person platform servicing one million loans. A cost optimization initiative he designed improved RoundPoint's P&L by $3.7 million and is projected to deliver $5 million in ongoing annual savings.

Jason also spent nearly a decade as a lecturer in the Master of Financial Mathematics program at the University of Minnesota, teaching mortgage-backed securities valuation, derivatives, and volatility modeling to graduate students.

He holds a Master of Financial Mathematics from the University of Minnesota and a B.S. in Mathematics and Economics from the University of Wisconsin–Eau Claire.
